With three campgrounds located on-site, the Oahe Downstream Recreation Area is a popular destination for fishing, boating, hiking, birding and more. Bald eagles call this park home from November to March as they nest in the trees near the water. The park features a nine-hole disc golf course, and OHV area, archery range and shooting ranges.

Spring Creek Recreation Area

Spring Creek Recreation Area is a day-use park located on Lake Oahe (Oahe Reservoir). This recreation area is especially popular with fishers after walleye, northern pike, sauger and more. The privately-owned Spring Creek Resort is located on-site.

This expansive park is one of the Missouri River's most scenic. With rolling hills, vast prairie and miles of beach, Okobojo Point Recreation Area offers stunning views over the river, as well as superb opportunities for fishing, boating and water skiing on Oahe Reservoir. Located along the famous Lewis and Clark Trail, this park is also great for hiking and mountain biking. Camping sites are available.
